Recently on Twitter, I expressed my preference on Animism and later received few warnings from others. I hereby clear my view on Animism and Belief/Religion.
Animism, like most of religions and belief, is ostensible and may even be deceptive and misleading. Being closer to it for understanding the great works should be well justified, although believing in it should be seriously thought of. I just like what animism means to me. The way animism makes people thinking twice before deforestating and the inspiration that great works it triggers, renders it respectable.
Before advancing into the next relevant topic, let me cite and translate a kind notice from @jinnli.
Relegion and belief, unlike emotional preferences, deserves more seriousness. It involves more than simple and abstract enjoyment, so think twice before it starts to trouble you.
I appreciate the effort he has done to make others’ religious choices responsible and serious. At the same time, I should also remind him (and everyone with the same opinion) that ending up like that is not the only possible consequence one will suffer from. In most cases, people are not presided by the “New belief”, but good reasons for supporting positive causes. For instance, Animism promotes preservation, conservation and appreciation of the environment by acknowledging the ubiquitousness of spirit, or self-conciousness of objects including trees.
This is my view on Animism and certain points that may arise from it.
